Wrappin' it up!

The FLICK OFF Express was such a success that it's hard to believe it's over already. Each morning I wake up thinking I need to get back on the train... riding the streetcar in downtown rush hour traffic just isn't the same.

What am I going to do without Jose and Faisal by my side able to answer absolutely every environmental question I could think of? What am I going to do without great speeches and inspiring music every afternoon? What am I going to do without VIA's delicious organic chocolates?

Day 4: Dr. David Suzuki rides the rails

Day three ended on a great note with a very exciting rally at Queens University where we were thrilled to see the most attendance of any rally so far!

We're now in Ottawa, preparing for what should be the most exciting rally so far. We're joined by Dr. David Suzuki. I can't really add anything to that statement. David boarded the train to Ottawa and spoke with students who won the RBC FLICK OFF Campus Challenge, where he challenged them to become active (or more active) on the issues surrounding the environment.

Flick Off reminisce

Now that the four-city train tour is over, I'm going through withdrawal. There were so many interesting people on board the Flick Off Express that I never had a dull moment.

When all is said and done, I think my favorite parts were seeing José and Faisal work their magic from the stage. After all, very few PhD's get the chance to do the rock star routine and talk to a crowd from a stage. But our DSF guys did a fantastic job!
